To
Recognize the Windows File Missing
If the operating system comes up with
windows file missing error, it means
that the system has a corrupt file or any of the programs
are not working properly. Generally, a file corruption
happens when a program is running on the system. It
may also happen when we are trying to use a particular
file and the system came up with windows file
missing error. Before starting any troubleshooting,
first we should check the cause of the issue and for
that we should run and check the hard drive functionality.
Whenever there is system crash, error or sudden shutdown,
we should always run the “Chkdisk” utility. There are
two utilities built in the windows operating system,
one is the disc error checker and another one is system
file checker.
So, if we want to run the “disk error checker” utility
for tracing windows file missing error
then first we need to close all open files and programs.
Then we need to go to "My Computer". After
that we need to right click on the infected drive to
scan and then need to click on “properties”. Commonly,
it is the “C: /" drive. Now we need to click on
the "tools" tab and then the "check now"
option under Error Checking tab. The disk error checker
will open up and it will scan the disc for windows
file missing errors and bad sectors.
In this way disk error checker will fix all windows
file missing errors. Then we need to check
on both boxes and click on "start". It may
take a long time, depending on the size and speed of
the hard drive. After this, we need to restart our computer
and it will be free from corrupted, missing and windows
file missing errors.
