System
Will Not Show Virtual Memory Low
An operating system use virtual memory
to extend the functionality of Random Access Memory.
Whenever the RAM runs out of memory, system appears
with virtual memory low messages. It
happens because the RAM cannot run all the programs
together. So it shares the memory from the hard drive.
Some of the programs run only on virtual memory, however
later on those programs are taken over by RAM as well.
If any changes happen in this regard, we will again
see the virtual memory low error. We
can get rid of this issue by simply extending the virtual
memory.
In order to prevent the virtual memory low
error, first we need to click on "Start" and
then click on "Control Panel”. Then we need to
double-click on the "System" icon in the Control
Panel. We will get the "Advanced" tab in the
System Properties dialog box. Here we need to click
on the "Settings" button below Performance.
After this we need to click on the "Advanced"
tab in the Performance Options dialog box. Then on the
"Change" button below Virtual memory. Now
we need to click on a drive letter below "Drive
[Volume Label]" in the Virtual Memory dialog box.
To prohibit the virtual memory low
error, we need to click on the "Custom size"
option. Then we need to click in the "Initial size
(MB)" text box and type a larger value (for example,
600).Now we need to choose the "Maximum size (MB)"
text box, and type a larger value (for example, 1500).Then
we need to click on the "Set" button. Same
way we need to change the Virtual Memory on other drives.
End of this we need to click on "OK" and then
we should restart your computer to remove the virtual
memory low error forever.
