Know About Runtime Error

While watching a video or working on an excel sheet, if suddenly a box pops up showing “a Runtime Error has occurred while running one of your applications”, that simply takes our happiness away.

So, what is runtime error? Actually, runtime means the time taken by any program from starting and till the end. This period of time gets over when we close that particular program. For example, to open “Paint” we click on the icon and it opens up. After the use we close it by clicking on the “Cross” button on the top left hand side of the window. Now, runtime error comes up if something goes wrong within this span of time. Usually, it happens due to improper functioning of operating systems like Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7. Lot of time it has been seen that due to pirated or unregistered are installation runtime error is coming up on the screen. Mostly these errors show some set of numbers and by evaluating these numbers we can actually troubleshoot. Some of the common runtime errors are: 3042- Ocx error when joining a room. Try re-installing Windows Live Messenger, 524 - Data type conversion error and occurs while setting the database, 5 Illegal function call - It’s a program error. To fix, verify the program has all latest updates and if it does, reinstall the program, 7 Out of memory - Occurs when computer doesn’t meet program’s memory requirements. Try reinstalling the program.

However, fixing runtime error is simple. With the help of some software, our PC could be as good as new. Commonly used softwares are: Reimage System Repair, Registry Cleaner and Fix Cleaner. But it is always recommended to use compatible and genuine softwares if don’t want to see the runtime error ever again.
