To
Get Rid of Installation Errors
Installation errors
have become extremely frequent in modern computing.
We may get a message box popping up on the screen or
something like “1606 error”. It happens when we try
to install an application from a disk. While the set-up
continues, we may get a prompt to locate or browse the
particular folder where we want to copy the files. After
locating the folder, if the folder is not ready or it
used by other program than system will come up with
installation errors.
The main cause behind these installation errors
could be missing files and folders. While the installation
was going on, the windows installer was not able to
find the proper path. Due to this, installation failed.
At the same time, system registry could be another issue.
A system registry is a place where every function of
the computer is logged by its date and time. Any change
in the computer will be recorded under it. Files which
are responsible for maintaining the system registry
may conflict with other files and this may cause installation
errors.
In order to get rid of installation errors,
first we need to remove all other technical issues.
It would be better, if make the system free from unwanted
programs and applications. We can do this by accessing
the control panel. We can also go through the system
registry interface. We can also try by typing "regedit.exe”
in the run command. Under the same interface, we need
to look for either “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Current
Version\Explorer, user shell folders or the “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer
Folders. We need to be very cautious while browsing
these folders. Any mistake could be fatal. So this could
be tried under expert supervision. However, if we succeed
in this, then we don’t have to see installation
errors ever again.
