Disk
Boot Error Resolution
Disk boot error appears
before the system log on to windows. The moment we turn
on the computer, we see windows logo and then the main
screen. But what if we see an error like "Insert
System Disk & Press Enter"; it is the primary
symptom of disk boot error. However,
the error becomes frequent than we cannot ignore it.
After all the system hard drive is in risk. We need
to restart the system to perform the basic troubleshooting
steps.
Than we need to remove all disks from the floppy drive
as well as the CD-ROM drives in order to abolish the
disk boot error. After this, we need
to take out the external USB flash drives attached.
In the same way, we need to detach the external hard
disks. Then we need to detach all recently added hard
disks and need to restart the computer using the previous
hard drive. However, we may leave the hard drive if
no changes have been made. Now we need to check all
wires attached with the hard drive. After this we need
check the BIOS mode and check whether the hard drive
is getting detected or not.
If everything looks fine, we can restart the system
again so that we can check whether the disk
boot error is coming up or not. Then, we need
to go back to the BIOS and need to check the boot order.
Moreover, we need to make sure about the booting and
it has to be from the hard drive. We need to organize
the boot order in such a way, where the system will
automatically take the first boot device as the hard
drive. After a system restart, computer would log on
to windows normally and the disk boot error
will be removed permanently.
