Code 12 error is for
those who are gamers. Especially, the Sims 3 game which
has became a favorite among all. Actually, the error
the game can be seen often and that is why the Sims
3 latest version is creating issues while saving a level
of the game. Lot of time, it has been seen that the
“Save Game” option itself is not working, even after
using the save button. Moreover, the message of code
12 error is coming up and it is written that
the level cannot be saved.
The best option is to turn off the “DEP” from the game
itself. For this, we need to right-click on the "Computer"
icon and then need to choose "Properties".
In this way we are enabling the “Data Execution Prevention”
through which the computer would be saved from code
12 error and also any kind of viruses. If DEP
is turned on then few programs and games may not run
properly. Then we need to look for the "Performance"
tab and need to observe the DEP settings from the “Advanced”
option. Here, we need to see, whether it is tuned on,
else we need to click on the "Add" option
for removing the code 12 error.
Now, we need to run the setup.exe file of the Sims 3
game. We can find it on the “C: /” drive. There, we
need to go through the “program files” folder and need
to search for a folder called “Electronic Arts”. This
is the folder which is contains “the Sims 3” game. There
would be another folder named as “Game” and the same
way we need to locate the “Bin” folder. We need to double-click
on the “TS3.exe” click on “OK”. This is how to troubleshoot
the code 12 error.
