Bios
Error – Easy To Fix
BIOS is an interface through which
the hardware connects with the software. Generally,
the moment we turn on the computer, it sends signals
to all the hardware devices. After this BIOS confirms
the hardware functionality and then system turns on.
But if the BIOS fails to send the signal back to the
system, then the system shows BIOS error.
The checksum gets corrupted due to this. System fails
the booting when checksum error happens. We may need
to replace the battery on the motherboard to fix the
BIOS error.
In order to get into the BIOS settings, we need to restart
the computer by pessing”F10”. BIOS screen will come
up. We will see lot of options regarding hardware internal
settings. Any setting change may also lead to BIOS
error. We need to be little cautious about
the entire troubleshooting. Now we need to turn off
the PC and remove all the cable from it. After this
we need to open up the cover of the CPU from one side.
We could see a blue o green circuit board. Here we need
to locate the CMOS battery. It will be round and silver.
We need to take it out gently. After few minutes, we
need to keep it back but this time the positive side
of the battery should be towards upside. Now we can
again attach the cover of the CPU and connect the cables
with the computer.
We are not free from BIOS errors yet.
Now we need to start the computer by pressing the “F10”
key to enter into the BIOS set up. We need to update
the program, so that BIOS errors will
not appear again. Once we are done with the settings,
we can restart the computer and get rid of BIOS
errors.
